A 4-week movement workshop enhanced by immersive 4DSOUND

Somatics and Sound is a movement-based mat experience blending yoga-inspired somatic stretches with mindful listening led by Masha Scherbyna. It features breathwork, gentle floor stretches, and a free-flow standing sequence, ending in restorative deep rest accompanied by a live ambient soundscape.

The practice focuses on tuning into both the external 4D soundscape and your inner body awareness, leaving you feeling deeply relaxed. The practice is rooted in regulating the mind through the body, using movement, breath, and sound as tools to settle the nervous system. This beginner-friendly class is open to ages 18+ and offers variations to accommodate all abilities.

Workshops are is 1.5 hrs beginning at 7pm and each week focuses on a new theme:

2. Feel

3. Float

4. Activate

Attending all four classes is recommended but drop-in is available

Masha Shcherbyna is a Ukrainian-Canadian dance artist, Kinesiologist, and yoga instructor completing her Masters of Public Health. Influenced by years od fance training, somatic movement and the mind-body connection, her work emphasizes presence, body intelligence, and mindful movement. She founded Mind Moves, delivering yoga, dance, and mindfulness to children and families. Currently, she is working with BC Children's Hopsital Centre for Mindfulness on their digital mindfulness initiatives. Masha is excited to integrate 4DSound and restorative somatic movement in her four series offerings. She believes in the transformative power of movement to build connections and promote community health.
