"Lynn Margulis presents the Gaia Hypothesis" accompanied by a spatial sound composition by © Linda Fox (26mins)
In 1984 Lynn Margulis gave a presentation to NASA researchers on the Gaia Hypothesis. Margulis was a brilliant scientist, philosopher and educator, who introduced the concept of "symbiogenesis" as a major evolutionary framework. Her work on bacterial networks and symbiosis challenged the foundations of neo-Darwinian evolution, and her 1984 presentation to NASA is filled with passionate attempts to convey the fragile significance of life on Earth, at a time when NASA researchers were beginning to search for signs of life on planets in other galaxies. Through a collection of satellite images, drawings and diagrams, Margulis gives a strange and beautiful account of how life on Earth can be understood as an emergent system of interdependent processes whose self-organization is extremely improbable in the broader cosmic context. Margulis' presentation will be shown alongside an original spatial sound composition to offer an immersive environment within which to engage with this important understanding of life on Earth.

"THE END OF THE BEGINNING" the final public playback of a piece about death composed by ®️pendamental, originally at MONOM 4DSOUND studio in Berlin (52 mins)
I had a crazy day dream experience about what happens at the moment you transition from living to not, and that gave birth to this psychedelic examination of that threshold. There's a lot of music and musings, beats and bass, spatial ear candy, trippy textures, darkness and lightness. I think it's pretty dope, maybe come hear it for yourself, this will be your last chance to do so.
