Reliquary V

Reliquary V is the solo electronic music project of Kayla Guthrie, whose work crosses between the realms of avant garde practice and underground subcultures.
With a neo-gothic sensibility wrought from murky threshold zones and liminal states, Reliquary V radiates the ever-changing self forged in atmospheric sound rituals. Prior to emerging as Reliquary V with the album CLAIRVOYANCE in 2020 (AmbrosiA NYC), Guthrie performed at international venues including Real Fine Arts, Greene Naftali, and Kunstakademie Dûsseldorf, released the recordings Falling Star (Wild Flesh, 2018) and Blue (Mixed Media, 2015) and published two books of poetry, Sunsets Working (Bodega, 2015) and Book of Shadows (Young Art, 2014).
Their latest release is Dematerialize (2021, Soap Library NYC), an album of sonic poetry based on Guthrie’s text artworks and accompanied by Reliquary V’s electronic productions. They're currently directing an indie video game, Chthonic Trip (in collaboration with Daffodil), which incorporates their recent explorations in 4DSOUND.
