Serpent Mother was designed as a sensual and sonic enquiry into our ability to glimpse the future by listening. Incorporating field recordings, sparse sounds of human intervention and electronic serpents, this glorious chaos cascades into a half hour sonic journey that exposes listeners to 35 channels of moving sound. The archaic exploration of nature by way of the sea, and by way of sounds — like that of storms and sirens — brings listeners into contact with an ancient form of cultivating our ability to listen.
